My name is Gregory and I am 24 years old student and basketball player/coach. I have now been living away from my family and golden retriever Bailey for 6 years and every time I go back to visit I can never stay with Bailey long enough. I am always trying to stay in touch with friends who have pets and spend as much time at their house as possible.

I have always loved animals, and now that I have the possibility to I am so excited to be around and care for animals again. I am also happy that by doing so I can help someone who needs their pet looking after. I am a basketball coach and student and think that out of all these activities, looking after a pet would be the dream job!

Both my university and basketball schedule are very flexible, so I am available around the clock, day and night. I am 2.07m, and quite an energetic and physically active person, so I am very able to go for long walks and play for long periods of time to make sure that the animals are well looked after and have a release for their energy!

I have personal daily living experience with:

-My family Golden retriever Bailey

-My girlfriend's stabby Balou

-My girlfriend's house cats Nox and Nova

All of these animals were different and had completely different personalities about them. Bailey is a young an energetic dog who needs constant attention and playing. I love playing with these dogs and making them stimulated with different games. Balou is an older and more habitual dog, so I have to give him his space and take the short, familiar walks he likes. Nox and Nova were very quiet but stubborn cats, who needed time to get used to me. All animals have different needs and I think I can accommodate each one in the way they need.

Dog walks:

Dog walks (as long as is necessary I am very flexible and available as long as the pet needs) I am also new to Rome so I am keen to explore the city on routes that the owners suggest!

Short walks - 15-30 minutes

Medium walks - 30 mins to 1 hour

Long walks - 1 hour +

I can take whichever of these walks your dog needs, as I am in charge of my own schedule at this point so time is not an issue!

House sitting:

Respecting the habits and territory of the dog

Ensure that we have a good time but also that the dog feels at home - giving them their own time

Make sure we are having a fun but also safe time

Keeping the owners in the loop about what is happening as well as photos

Home visits (1-3 per day)

Creating a personal connection with the pet

I am generally a laid-back person, so in the case of emergency I will not panic and get in touch with the owner
