Ciao! I'm English, but live here in Milan, Italy. I don't speak Italian yet, but I'm trying to learn. I moved to Milan with my husband (Sam) for his job and have been struggling with getting a traditional job here because I don't speak Italian but I have been a pet sitter back in England and loved every second of it. I'm in my late 20s now but I'm a real homebody and love nothing more than curling up on the sofa (preferably with a pet) and reading a good book. But I do of course also love exploring this beautiful city and going for walks/hikes.

I mainly have experience caring for cats. My family have had cats my entire life and I started pet sitting when I moved away to university in 2017 because I missed them so much. Most of my pet sitting experience has therefore been cats too, but I also love dogs and have cared for a few in the past. Sam's family have always had dogs and I lived with his family throughout the COVID-19 lockdowns in the UK for about half a year in 2020 and also lived with them for another 6 months while preparing our move here. So I have a bit of experience walking their small dog and also a medium dog we briefly looked after. I have done one official pet sit for an elderly medium-sized dog who was too old for walks but required medicine tablets I had to administer so I have experience with oral medication for both cats and dogs.

I'd also be happy to look after other smaller animals whilst there if you have any that need looking after so please let me know what animal and we can discuss that too. My family have had fish (I can feed but never cleaned a tank) and rabbits (feeding and cleaning) in the past.

Due to renting a fairly small apartment here we sadly don't have any pets currently and are unable to offer services in our own home, but I/we have lots of experience looking after pets in their/your home both visiting throughout the day and overnight stays, and due to my unemployed status I can be flexible with visit times and spend lots of time caring for and playing with your furry friend so they don't get lonely during your holiday. And, with your permission, my husband can provide extra cuddles and a second choice of lap too. I look forward to getting to know your pet, and since every pet is unique, please let me know if they have any quirks so I can adapt and give them the best possible care so they feel as happy and comfortable as they can while you're away.
